Fast-tracking R&D solutions to save corals

In 2020, the G20 launched CORDAP – the G20 Coral Research & Development Accelerator Platform. We are the world’s only global initiative focused specifically on funding and delivering scalable, high-impact innovation that will support coral survival, resilience, adaptation and restoration. By driving science and technology that boost coral reef restoration and conservation, and making it openly available to those who need it most, CORDAP is helping secure a future for tropical and cold-water corals in the face of climate change and other pressures.

From scientific discovery to practical action.

We bring together scientists, innovators and practitioners to develop better solutions for corals and make them accessible to the people and places that need them most.

Develop the solutions

Develop the solutions

We fund science and innovation and work with partners to enable the development of coordinated, systemic solutions for coral conservation and restoration.

Move science to action

Move science to action

We help translate scientific advances into practical action, enabling solutions to be tested, adapted and applied more widely through partnerships with practitioners, institutions and reef countries.

Build lasting capacity

Build lasting capacity

We strengthen people, institutions and networks, particularly in reef countries, so they can lead, sustain and advance coral conservation and restoration over time.
