At the occasion of the Monaco Ocean Week, ICRI, in collaboration with CORDAP, the UN Global Fund for Coral Reefs, and the UN High-Level Climate Champions, will showcase solutions to implement the Coral Reef Breakthrough at the event “Implementing the Coral Reef Breakthrough: Solutions #ForCoral” held on March 19.
Monaco Ocean Week 2024, 18 – 22 March, serves as a platform for “exploring and promoting synergies between the protection of the marine environment and the development of a truly sustainable blue economy.” The conference gathers government representatives, NGOs, international organizations, scientific institutions, the private sector, and the media, creating a nexus for marine conservation dialogue.
The event aims to highlight the Coral Reef Breakthrough as the global convening mechanism for coral reefs, as well as their effective conservation, protection, and restoration alongside current and future solutions for their implementation. The event will enable discussions with developers and implementers, showcasing solutions for the future of coral reefs, leading to finance mobilization and technical support for reef communities.
