Bibiana Nassongole has been a lecturer and researcher at Lúrio University, Mozambique, for over 10 years. As part of her work in Mozambique, she studied reef fish diversity, monitored coral reef nurseries, installed artificial reefs, and sampled deep water corals and sponges. Bibiana is currently pursuing a PhD in Biology and Ecology of Global Changes at the University of Aveiro, Portugal. Her doctoral project focuses on the biodiversity, taxonomy, and conservation of soft corals along the coast of Mozambique.
